Closets1. What is the cost of designing the cabinets, and is the installation price included?

A: When you are given a price for your cabinets, it includes the design - and any design changes, as well as the installation of your cabinets. Warranty included automatically.

2. Who does the installation of the cabinets?

A: Our own employees, and on occasion, a “dedicated contract worker” will install Space Saver Cabinets. These are folks we know and trust to install our products in your home.

3. How long does it take for the cabinets to be installed?

A: This is a 2-part answer…

  1. For garage cabinets - most of the time your cabinets are installed as soon as we have an opening. The installation itself takes place in one day.
  2. For interior “ORG” products - we need to custom-order components that we don’t have on hand, which may take up to 2 weeks. We order the products after YOU approve our design and place a deposit. So, it may be a few weeks before your interior organizational project is begun, however it will be installed in 1 day as well.

4. What is the time frame for concrete epoxy floor coatings to be completed?

A: Once the pricing estimate is approved (usually the same day as the estimate is given), the process is scheduled ASAP, depending on our installation schedule. The process takes place over 2 - 1/2-day periods. You will be able to walk on the floor within 2 days, however should wait a full 4-7 days (depending on humidity level) prior to driving over the surface, to allow for “curing” time.

5. Will you build the cabinets and then deliver them?

A: All of our garage cabinets are cut at our shop locally, then brought to the customer’s site and constructed/attached to the walls on-site. The interior “ORG” products are cut at the Windquest factory in Holland, Michigan, shipped to us, and also constructed/attached to the walls on-site.

6. What are the garage cabinets built of?

A: The exterior of our top line custom cabinets are built of high quality 5/8″ thermofused melamine laminate. It is warp-resistant and can withstand the warm humid climate. The interior is of premium MDF material. The exterior of our basic cabinets are made of high quality vinyl laminate with 5/8″ particle board. Both are built to withstand the type of load you specify with us.

7. Do you have warranties?

A: Of course! Our garage cabinets have either a 5 or 10 year warranty against defective materials or workmanship. Our interior line of products comes with a lifetime warranty. Floor coatings come with a 3 year warranty. The flooring products are not affected by water. All of the cabinets could be damaged by water, however repair is generally covered by your homeowner’s insurance.

8. What do you mean by “commercial grade” epoxy floor coatings?

A: Our floor coatings are made of a high quality industrial and marine epoxy coating, which was designed for commercial use. It is the same product used in Airplane hangers and commercial garages. It is designed to withstand the heat of tires, oil spills, and general dirt and moisture. It is a true epoxy, and displays the same chemical properties of solvent-based systems. Extra “anti-skid”
aggregate can be added to any of the solid-finish systems, upon request, however all of our flooring coatings have some anti-slip properties.

9. What should I do if I accidently drive my car into my garage cabinets?

No problem! Unfortunately, a number of our valued customers have done that very thing. We will do our best to repair your cabinets at minimal cost to you. Just give us a call.
